Tottenham Investigate Bissouma Incident
\nThe club confirmed on Friday night that they have opened an investigation after video emerged showing Bissouma using a nitrous oxide balloon at a party. The substance carries risks such as neurological damage, memory loss, depression, hallucinations and more. The clip, published by The Sun, appears to have been recorded early on November 3. Bissouma has since removed all Tottenham references from his Instagram page.<\/p>\n
This follows an incident last August when he posted a Snapchat video of himself inhaling \u201chippy crack\u201d, which led to a suspension and a public apology for his poor judgement.<\/p>\n
A Spurs spokesperson said of the new footage: \u201cWe are looking into the events and it will be handled internally.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tottenham Career Likely Over
\nThis most recent off-field issue looks set to end Bissouma\u2019s time at the club. Signed from Brighton for \u00a360 million in 2022, he has made 100 appearances and scored twice. Now 29 and earning \u00a368,750 per week, his contract expires next summer, though Spurs hold a one-year extension option.<\/p>\n
Given the circumstances, Tottenham may choose not to keep him on \u2014 except perhaps to trigger the extension to secure a transfer fee.<\/p>\n
