Tottenham are now willing to let Mikey Moore finish the season on loan at Rangers, sources told Football Insider.<\/p>\n
The 18-year-old struggled for minutes early on under Russell Martin at Ibrox, but his involvement has increased significantly since Danny Rohl took charge \u2014 a development that has pleased Spurs and manager Thomas Frank.<\/p>\n
Spurs had been weighing up recalling Moore in January to send him to a Championship club, but they are now satisfied with the amount of football he\u2019s getting in Glasgow and expect that to continue for the rest of the campaign.<\/p>\n
Although Moore barely featured in the opening weeks of his loan, Tottenham acknowledge that his situation has improved substantially. After a recent injury spell, he returned in Rangers\u2019 3-0 win over Kilmarnock, coming off the bench to score the third goal. He has now found the net in consecutive matches, having also scored against Dundee before his lay-off.<\/p>\n
His output under Rohl already surpasses what he managed during Martin\u2019s tenure, when he registered only one assist. Spurs view his growing importance under the new manager \u2014 including three starts so far \u2014 as a crucial part of his development.<\/p>\n
Rangers fans, who criticised Moore earlier in the season, have also warmed to him as his performances have improved. He earned praise for his impact in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Celtic, and his goals and assists have become more frequent.<\/p>\n
While he faces competition from Djeidi Gassama for a starting spot, the limited alternatives on the wings could work in his favour.
