The forward has yet to start a Premier League match under new manager Thomas Frank after suffering an ankle injury in August that has sidelined him for months. As the year draws to a close, an issue once thought to be minor has turned into a much longer absence.<\/p>\n
Solanke recently shared an update on social media, posting a photo of himself training with an hourglass emoji, hinting that his return may be getting closer. Frank has now addressed the player\u2019s fitness, confirming that Solanke has taken a key step by resuming individual outdoor training.<\/p>\n
Speaking to football.london about the post, Frank said: \u201cI guess it is good news when he puts that out there. As I\u2019ve said with Dom, because it\u2019s an injury he picked up in July, it has dragged on for a while. When he\u2019s training fully, I\u2019ll have news. I\u2019m happy to answer these questions, but I am getting a little bored of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Spurs coping but not flourishing without Solanke<\/p>\n
Tottenham have managed Solanke\u2019s absence due to the availability of Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani. Kolo Muani had an early injury setback this season but has since returned and contributed well. Richarlison, who often struggles with injuries, has stayed fit so far and is Spurs\u2019 top Premier League scorer with six goals.<\/p>\n
