Just five months after departing Liverpool, a highly rated young winger is reportedly closing in on a rapid return to English football.<\/p>\n
While Luis D\u00edaz and Darwin N\u00fa\u00f1ez were the most notable senior attacking exits from Anfield, academy prospect Ranel Young also made headlines over the summer by opting to join Serbian side Usce, despite being offered a new deal by the Reds.<\/p>\n
The move, however, failed to take off. The 19-year-old featured only five times for the Stepojevac-based club and has not played since September, before mutually terminating his contract. He has since been without a club.<\/p>\n
That situation now looks set to change. On Wednesday, Football Insider journalist Pete O\u2019Rourke revealed that Young has agreed terms with Bristol City after training with the Championship outfit in recent weeks.<\/p>\n
The deal is expected to be finalised ahead of the January transfer window, allowing the former Liverpool forward to bolster Gerhard Struber\u2019s squad for the second half of the campaign. The Robins currently sit 11th in the table, just four points adrift of the play-off places.<\/p>\n
Having narrowly missed out on promotion last season after a play-off semi-final defeat, Bristol City remain firmly in the hunt to push again in 2026.
