\nSpeaking on his YouTube channel on Christmas Day, Romano provided an update on the Ghana international. Manchester City are expected to accelerate talks over a January deal, though Liverpool have not entirely ruled out a late intervention.<\/p>\n
Romano explained that City are keen to act swiftly to avoid any last-minute complications, with plans to open direct discussions with Bournemouth over the structure of a deal. He noted that Guardiola\u2019s side could activate Semenyo\u2019s \u00a365m release clause before January 10 or attempt to negotiate alternative payment terms.<\/p>\n
The Italian journalist added that Liverpool have been consistently in touch with those close to the player, making enquiries both in November and December. While sources indicate that Semenyo currently favours a move to Manchester City, Romano stressed that nothing is certain until contracts are signed.
