Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank has admitted he is struggling to enjoy his time in North London, as the club prepares to part ways with another player who has fallen out of favour ahead of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n
Spurs go into Sunday\u2019s Premier League meeting with Sunderland having won just one of their last four league matches, increasing the pressure on Frank. When asked whether he is enjoying the challenge, the Dane was candid.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe short answer is no,\u201d Frank said. \u201cYou can\u2019t really enjoy it, but when I step back and look at the bigger picture, I see what a learning experience and privilege it is to manage such a huge club during a major period of transition. We\u2019ve changed eight senior leadership figures at the club, and the scale of transformation in 2025 is unlike anything in the club\u2019s 140-year history. There are many changes, but the potential is enormous.<\/p>\n
\u201cI look forward to the day I can reflect and say it was a tough learning curve, but now I\u2019m enjoying it. It\u2019s a marathon, and right now it feels like one of the toughest stretches, but you keep your head down and push on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Frank\u2019s task has been made more difficult by the absence of key players Dominic Solanke and James Maddison. Against that backdrop, Brennan Johnson\u2019s recent move to Crystal Palace raised eyebrows given Tottenham\u2019s lack of depth and quality in attack. However, Frank has shown he is willing to sideline players who do not suit his system, and another attacker now appears set to follow Johnson out of the club.<\/p>\n
According to reports from Turkey, cited by Sport Witness, Galatasaray are interested in signing Mathys Tel, with Tottenham prepared to let the forward leave on loan. The 20-year-old has grown frustrated under Frank, having not started a league match since October and failing to feature in the last three games altogether.<\/p>\n
Tottenham are now expected to assess loan proposals for the France Under-21 international. Tel, who earns \u00a355,000 per week, is not among the club\u2019s top earners and arrived from Bayern Munich after finding himself on the fringes there as well.<\/p>\n
