\u201cThe two centre-backs, including Van Dijk, haven\u2019t been close to the required level, and Liverpool are dropping points because they lack a solid foundation.<\/p>\n
\u201cVan Dijk is usually seen as the calming influence, but that hasn\u2019t been the case this season, and it\u2019s a serious concern.<\/p>\n

With growing doubts over their defensive reliability, Liverpool are reportedly tracking several centre-back options, including Tottenham\u2019s Micky van de Ven.<\/p>\n
Football Insider reported on January 24 that the Dutch defender could consider leaving Spurs if their struggles persist, putting a number of clubs on alert.<\/p>\n
Liverpool are believed to be leading the race for Van de Ven, who continues to be linked with a move away from North London, while Real Madrid are also monitoring his situation.<\/p>\n
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is also under intense scrutiny, and continued poor form could see Spurs lose key players.<\/p>\n
Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League, Tottenham\u2019s hopes of securing Champions League qualification appear increasingly remote.<\/p>\n
