Omar Marmoush has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January deadline. The Manchester City forward has been linked with a possible move to north London, although Spurs have only a limited window remaining to complete any deal.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt last January in a \u00a359 million transfer after scoring 37 goals in 67 appearances for the German side. He was brought in to help replace Julian Alvarez and made an immediate impression following his arrival.<\/p>\n
Marmoush finished last season with seven goals from 16 league matches and was expected to play a major role this campaign. However, his progress was delayed by a knee injury and international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, with his first league goal not arriving until last weekend against Wolves. That match marked only his third league start of the season.<\/p>\n
City\u2019s recent acquisition of Antoine Semenyo has increased speculation over Marmoush\u2019s future, with Tottenham among several clubs reportedly interested in a \u00a326 million move. Despite a slow start this season, the Egyptian international has previously received praise from Erling Haaland and Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner.<\/p>\n
