Arsenal fans believe a certain star may “never return to the team” following another player’s standout performance against PSG.

“Arsenal Fans Doubt Star’s Return After Teammate Shines Against PSG”
Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at the Emirates on Tuesday, marking their first win of this season’s campaign. Kai Havertz opened the scoring with a header in the 20th minute, followed by Bukayo Saka, who added a second with a brilliant free-kick. After one player’s outstanding performance, some Arsenal fans believe a certain star may now struggle to regain their spot in the team.
Arsenal’s defense was typically solid, with Gabriel and William Saliba playing key roles in securing a clean sheet. Jurrien Timber also impressed before being substituted at halftime. His standout performance in the first 45 minutes caught the attention of fans online.
Many Arsenal supporters now believe Ben White may struggle to regain his spot in the starting lineup after Timber’s recent performances at right-back. One X user said, “Timber has slotted in so well at RB, Ben White might never get his place back.” Another added, “Jurrien Timber is a serious contender for Ben White.” A third commented, “A fit Timber is a guaranteed starter for us.”
A fourth fan stated, “I trust Timber more in 1 v 1 situations than White, and I’d start him in a Champions League final.” Another remarked, “Timber is incredible, but at least Ben White can rotate at CB for Saliba.”
Timber had to be substituted at halftime after experiencing a minor muscular issue. Commenting on the defender’s performance and injury, Mikel Arteta said, “He was outstanding in the first half, but he felt something muscular and wasn’t sure. I didn’t want to take any risks. He’s been out for a year, played more minutes than we planned recently, and we need to manage him.”
Arteta also commended new signing Riccardo Calafiori, stating, “He has the ability to adapt to different positions, and he’s very comfortable with that, as he showed in Italy, which is why we brought him in. Above all, he’s a strong defender with presence, energy, and full commitment. He’s brave, confident with the ball, and eager to make things happen, willing to play various roles.”
