While the Reds celebrated their sixth consecutive win, temporarily increasing their lead at the top of the Premier League by four points, the match was marred by the loss of their first-choice goalkeeper, who left the field in the final 15 minutes due to a hamstring issue.

With Caoimhin Kelleher sidelined by illness, manager Arne Slot was forced to bring on Viteszlav Jaros for his LFC debut, and the young goalkeeper performed admirably to see out the match.

After the game, Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele shared footage of Alisson limping as he exited Selhurst Park. The 32-year-old seemed uncertain about the duration of his absence, but it’s clear he will not participate in Brazil’s upcoming matches over the next two weeks.

Fortunately for Liverpool, they won’t play again for 15 days, but early indications suggest that hoping for Alisson’s return in time for Chelsea’s visit to Anfield may be overly optimistic. Let’s hope the injury isn’t as serious as it initially appeared.
