Less than a month after his dismissal from Tottenham Hotspur, Ange Postecoglou may be set for a quick return to the dugout, with a potential offer emerging from the United States.
Despite being abruptly let go just 16 days after guiding Spurs to a Europa League triumph, Postecoglou’s reputation appears to have grown following his time in North London.
The Australian achieved something even renowned managers like Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho, and Mauricio Pochettino couldn’t—ending Tottenham’s long trophy drought.
That success may explain why interest in him reignited almost immediately after his departure, with reports suggesting clubs reached out within 24 hours—highlighting his high demand.
Postecoglou to MLS?
The ex-Spurs boss is well-versed in adapting to new footballing environments, having coached in Australia, Japan, and Scotland. Now, he may be poised for another challenge in a new continent.
According to BBC Sport, Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC are eyeing Postecoglou as a possible replacement for Steve Cherundolo, who is expected to step down at the end of the MLS season to return to Germany.
While no formal approach has been made to the 59-year-old yet, LAFC are firmly in the playoff race, currently sitting sixth in the Western Conference.
Other Interest Still Brewing
Postecoglou has also drawn attention from other quarters. The Telegraph previously reported that Saudi Arabian giants Al-Ahli are interested in him. The club, which recently clinched the AFC Champions League title, features star names like Ivan Toney, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, and Edouard Mendy.
Additionally, there have been claims that an unnamed Premier League side is considering Postecoglou as a managerial option for the 2025–26 campaign.
