“There was already a strong culture of punctuality here — and I can’t stand having to fine players for being late,” he said. “It’s just normal to be on time. That culture was already in place.”
“But one thing we did alter — although maybe it’s not exactly a rule — is that the team used to stay overnight in hotels before games. We’ve changed that because my staff and I believe players rest better in their own beds.”
“So now, before home matches, they stay at their own homes instead of a hotel.”
