Arne Slot has addressed claims that Liverpool have already secured the Premier League title following their 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
Liverpool dominated at the Etihad, securing their first league win at the stadium since the 2015/16 season.
Early goals from Mo Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool a comfortable lead, extending their advantage to 11 points over Arsenal at the top of the table.
Speaking to beIN Sport, Slot reflected on the fluctuating narratives surrounding his team’s performances: “Just a week ago, I was hearing that a 2-1 win over Wolves wasn’t convincing, and then three days later, I was asked if we were in a slump because we drew at Villa Park— which I actually think was a great result.”
Slot also praised one of his key players, saying, “He was a constant threat, which speaks to his quality. It’s not easy for an attacking player to defend, win the ball, and then produce something special.”
