Arsenal fans voiced a unified opinion just minutes into the Liverpool vs. Chelsea match after a controversial decision by the referee.

Tosin Adarabioyo received an early yellow card for Chelsea, with many feeling he should have been sent off.

Frustration erupted on social media among Arsenal fans after Adarabioyo’s yellow card was issued early in the match at Anfield.

As Chelsea advanced, Liverpool played a long ball for Diogo Jota, but Adarabioyo miscalculated the situation, colliding with Jota just past the halfway line.

The frustration arose from a VAR review that resulted in William Saliba’s red card for a similar incident during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

The primary distinction in the decisions seemed to be that Levi Colwill was seen as covering for the play.

Diogo Jota, however, had to be substituted after suffering an injury, likely from his clash with Tosin. Liverpool took a 1-0 lead when Mo Salah successfully converted a penalty following Colwill’s foul on Curtis Jones.

Meanwhile, William Saliba will serve a one-match suspension and will miss Arsenal’s upcoming clash against Liverpool at Anfield next week due to his red card.
