Arsenal may hold the upper hand in the pursuit of 25-year-old Tottenham Hotspur transfer target – opinion

Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks, with several top clubs monitoring his situation ahead of a potential move.
The Ghanaian attacker has openly admitted to being an Arsenal supporter, adding an intriguing twist to the transfer rumours linking him with Tottenham Hotspur. Given his admiration for the Gunners, it remains to be seen whether Spurs will push to sign him — especially as his past comments about Arsenal are unlikely to sit well with their fanbase.
Speaking to The Athletic in 2024, Semenyo said:
“I am an Arsenal fan, I don’t conflict the two with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life, and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen, I need to prove it.”
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for Bournemouth this season, netting six Premier League goals so far. His performances suggest he has the potential to develop into one of the league’s standout attacking talents.
As for Arsenal, the Gunners could certainly benefit from additional depth and quality on the wings. Semenyo’s pace, power, and versatility would make him a valuable addition, and it will be interesting to see if Mikel Arteta’s side decide to make a move for him in the near future.
