BAD SPORT: Gyokeres weighs his options between Man Utd and Arsenal after turning down another Premier League club, but a dispute with Sporting could jeopardize the transfer.

Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly declined a transfer to Manchester United. The striker is expected to move this summer, with Arsenal among several clubs showing interest.

United had been linked with Gyokeres, as manager Ruben Amorim aimed to bring him back. However, according to Record, he has chosen not to join Old Trafford, making Arsenal the likely destination.

The Gunners had a £55 million bid rejected by Sporting, which has upset Gyokeres, who believed he had an agreement to leave for that amount. Arsenal is preparing a second offer, but negotiations between his agent and Sporting are crucial for his release.

If talks don’t progress, Sporting will demand his £84 million buyout clause. Club president Frederico Varandas stressed that he won’t be pressured into a cheaper sale, stating, “Sporting will not accept blackmail and insults.”

In response to rumors of a conflict with the club, Gyokeres said, “There is a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.”

Gyokeres’ decision to turn down United adds to the challenges for the Red Devils, who have already missed out on Liam Delap to Chelsea this transfer window.
