Fabrizio Romano reports Chelsea’s battle with 10 other clubs for the signing of a “fearless” attacker

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are now in a battle with as many as 10 other clubs to sign one very promising attacker.

He told CaughtOffside that winger Antonio Nusa is wanted by a load of elite clubs, with the Blues one of those who have held an interest for some time.

Chelsea made an effort to sign Nusa last summer, with them continuing their trend of looking to bring in the next set of top players before their rivals do.

In a rarity for the Blues so far though, it has been claimed that the Norway international actually rejected a move to Stamford Bridge late in the prior transfer window.

The player himself came out and claimed that he was offered a lot of money to make the move to England, however that was not currently a motivating factor for him.

It remains to be seen whether that remains the case for the Club Brugge man in the upcoming transfer windows, when the prospect of a big move becomes more obvious.

The youngster is still reportedly under scouting from those at Chelsea, with the Blues potentially making a move for him again.

However, Romano has claimed that they will not be alone in their interest in the teenager.

He said: “There are something like ten top clubs following Antonio Nusa around Europe, not just Chelsea. He’s one of the most talented wingers around so it’s normal, but I’m told is not something imminent or for January, more likely to be in the next months or so.”

The players talents speak for themselves though, with him enjoying a meteoric rise to fame this season.

He has been described as ‘fearless’, suggesting he is not afraid to make an impact whether he plays for his club or alongside Erling Haaland for his country.
