In his piece on Gianluca di Marzio‘s website today, he claims that Andrey Santos has been chosen as the man to stay in the first team squad this season, with his fellow youngster Cesare Casadei the one elected to go on loan.
Both have had great moments in preseason but both lack a little experience and are rough around the edges. It makes sense to keep one and let one go, and given Santos has more top flight practice and has a profile closer to what Chelsea are missing, this arrangement makes the most sense.
There will certainly be no shortage of takers for Casadei, with Premier League and Serie A teams likely to be bidding for his services for the season.
