Christopher Nkunku may seek a move away from Chelsea due to frustrations over limited playing time, according to former Manchester United, West Ham, and Tottenham scout Mick Brown. Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Brown revealed that the French forward could issue an ultimatum to secure more regular starts or push for an exit.

Nkunku, who has made 18 appearances across all competitions this season but only one Premier League start, remains a rotational option under Enzo Maresca. Despite his contract running until 2029, he reportedly desires a more prominent role in Chelsea’s Premier League campaign and is growing discontented with his current status.

Brown emphasized that this dissatisfaction might lead Nkunku to demand assurances about his playing time or explore opportunities elsewhere. Interest from Manchester United, who have identified the 27-year-old as a potential January target, adds further complexity to the situation.

“Players like Nkunku, who feature in Europe and cup matches, expect to play regularly in the Premier League,” Brown stated. “If Chelsea cannot provide that, a departure in January or at the end of the season seems increasingly likely.”
