The UFC star was spotted on the Emirates pitch following Arsenal’s 2-0 victory against PSG.
Conor McGregor has been accused of “going too far” with Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka after footage surfaced of the Irishman on the pitch alongside the Gunners player.
Although the former UFC double champion hasn’t fought since his knockout loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, where he suffered a broken leg, he remains a prominent figure in the media.
Despite plans for a fight against Michael Chandler this year, McGregor has yet to return to competition due to an injury sustained during his training camp for the bout.
While attending the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois fight at Wembley two weeks ago, he hinted at his comeback, stating to DAZN: “It will be 2025, we’ll see. My opponent I had scheduled has got rematched. It is what it is. My job is to go to the gym and stay in shape. One thing is for sure, I will be 100% ready.”
On Tuesday evening, the 36-year-old was at the Emirates to watch Arsenal’s 2-0 Champions League win over PSG, as shown in the video below.

While the football itself was impressive, it was McGregor’s post-match behavior that grabbed fans’ attention. The Irish fighter seemed to engage in a playful fight with Gunners winger Saka, leading some supporters to feel he had forgotten it wasn’t a real match.
At one point, after showcasing a few moves reminiscent of his octagon performances, McGregor delivered a light kick to Saka’s leg, causing him to step back before McGregor humorously apologized to the 23-year-old.
The two then shook hands and appeared to enjoy their playful exchange. Videos also surfaced of McGregor, Saka, and Declan Rice passing the ball to each other on the Emirates pitch.
Fans shared their opinions on the clip, with one commenting: “Arteta’s going to have Khabib [Nurmagomedov] at every game from now on.”
