It’s safe to say Federico Chiesa’s journey at Liverpool hasn’t been smooth so far.

Since joining, Liverpool’s new signing has managed only 79 minutes out of a possible 900 on the field. He missed the first two games due to lack of match fitness and has now been sidelined for a month due to an undisclosed injury.

While Chiesa may have hoped for an immediate impact in the Premier League, his challenges seem more due to misfortune than lack of ability. It’s only October, and by December, he could very well be seen as an essential player.

Notably, he contributed an assist in his only start so far this season, in Liverpool’s 5-1 League Cup win over West Ham.

This makes the recent rumors about Liverpool considering loaning Chiesa back to Italy in January seem premature.

The Italian forward has been available for just four games and played significant minutes in two. Head coach Arne Slot’s intentions to integrate Chiesa into the squad are clear.

Letting him go now would be a misstep for new sporting director Richard Hughes, especially as Chiesa is his first major signing.

Are Chiesa and his wife homesick?

Speculation about Chiesa’s family struggling to settle in Liverpool has surfaced, but a glance at Lucia Bramani’s Instagram page suggests otherwise.

Her latest post, captioned “Some random moments from the past few days,” features ten images, including a video of her enjoying Anfield’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone” before Chiesa’s start against West Ham.

Far from appearing homesick, Chiesa and his family seem to be embracing their new life in Liverpool.

Though injuries have been frustrating, rumors about his dissatisfaction don’t seem to hold up.
