“FA Ruling: Nicolas Jackson Faces Ban as Chelsea and Nottingham Forest Hit with Brawl Punishment”

The FA has reached a verdict on a possible retrospective ban for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson after footage emerged of him allegedly ‘slapping’ an opponent.

Chelsea couldn’t build on their strong start to the Premier League season, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest, leaving them in fourth place going into the international break.

Chris Wood put the visitors ahead in West London before Noni Madueke equalized just before the hour mark.

Forest’s James Ward-Prowse was also sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 78th minute.

The match’s most dramatic incident occurred when Forest’s Nico Williams allegedly shoved Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella into Maresca, sparking a touchline brawl between both teams.

Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill, and Wesley Fofana were the six Chelsea players who received yellow cards in the heated clash.

Both Cucurella and Fofana’s bookings mean they will miss Chelsea’s next game against Liverpool, as they have now accumulated five yellow cards in just seven matches this season.

Jackson, however, escaped punishment despite fan-captured footage appearing to show him slapping Forest player Morato, who came on as a late substitute for ex-Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi.

After reviewing the footage, the FA decided not to issue a ban for Jackson, allowing him to be available for Chelsea’s upcoming trip to Anfield.

Both Chelsea and Nottingham Forest have been charged by the FA for failing to control their players, but no further action will be taken against Jackson.

Jackson has become a key player under Maresca, building on his success from last season, where he netted 14 goals. The Senegalese striker has already scored four Premier League goals this season and is currently favored over Christopher Nkunku.
