Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain, with reports of strong interest from Real Madrid in signing the skilled right-back. His current contract is set to expire next summer, but there has been no news about an extension, causing concern among fans and analysts, including former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
Carragher expressed his unease over the drawn-out negotiations, suggesting that the longer it takes, the less confident he is about Alexander-Arnold staying at Anfield.

He noted that there have been no major developments, stating that while Real Madrid continues to watch the situation closely, they are not currently in talks with the player. According to Romano, Liverpool holds the responsibility, as they are in active discussions with Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool, however, cannot afford to lose Alexander-Arnold, who is considered one of the best right-backs in the world. The 25-year-old has made 318 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals and providing 83 assists. Recently, Alexander-Arnold hinted that he wishes to stay beyond this season, with the final decision resting in the hands of the club’s management.
