Sharp-eyed Chelsea fans noticed Cole Palmer’s amusing reaction as he witnessed the brawl unfold during his team’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Enzo Maresca’s squad dropped points for the first time since September 1 due to the outcome at Stamford Bridge.

Although Palmer didn’t score after netting four times against Brighton last weekend, he did provide the assist for Madueke’s goal.

As players from both Forest and Chelsea clashed, Palmer was nearby and seemed to consider whether to join in.

The attacking midfielder did receive a yellow card during the match, which might have influenced his decision-making.
Ultimately, it was Forest who finished the game with 10 players, as James Ward-Prowse received a second yellow card in the 78th minute.
However, Chelsea failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage, despite taking 22 shots on goal throughout the match.
Nevertheless, the result leaves them in fourth place in the Champions League qualification spots after seven games.
After the match, Maresca—who inadvertently contributed to the brawl when Forest defender Nico Williams pushed Marc Cucurella into him—expressed satisfaction with certain aspects of his team’s performance.
He told Chelsea’s official website: “In the first half, we didn’t concede anything, controlled the game, created chances, and the performance was very good.
“Compared to Brighton [which Chelsea won 4-2], this was a different kind of match, so you have to learn how to adapt.
“The first half was excellent. In the second half, we conceded a goal, which made it a bit more unpredictable. But we responded quickly, and I think we were in control.
“With the red card, we often think that playing 11 against 10 is easier, but today it was probably more challenging because they set up with five at the back, adding more players to defend in the box.”
