“Frank Lampard Reveals the One Player He Sees as Tottenham’s ‘Weakness’ After Big Victory Over Aston Villa!”

“Frank Lampard Exposes Tottenham’s ‘Weak Link’ Despite Thrilling Win Over Aston Villa!”
Tottenham Hotspur secured a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Despite the win, Frank Lampard singled out one Tottenham player as the team’s vulnerability. On Sunday afternoon, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa visited the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Morgan Rogers gave Villa a 1-0 lead at halftime. However, Ange Postecoglou’s team turned the game around with a strong second half, as Dominic Solanke scored twice, and Brennan Johnson and James Maddison added goals to secure the commanding win.
Speaking on Sky Sports post-match, former Chelsea and England midfielder Lampard identified Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as a potential weak spot. He explained, “I just felt the goalkeeper became unbalanced by the movement. He’ll soon realize this will happen in every game now. People will target him, and it’s definitely a vulnerability for Tottenham.”
Lampard noted that Vicario struggles to come off his line and lacks dominance in the box, adding, “Vicario was distracted by Rogers on the line, which made it an easy task for Rogers to tap in from close range.”
Post-match, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou acknowledged Villa’s strong performance in the first half, calling it “an arm wrestle,” and praised his squad’s response. On Solanke, Postecoglou commented, “His goals were outstanding, but his overall play and work-rate were incredible.”
Reflecting on the past week, he added, “We stayed true to the course we’re on and made sure not to feel sorry for ourselves. Now, we’re back to the team we want to be.”
Tottenham will next face Galatasaray in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
