“Frankfurt Reveal Price Tag for Liverpool’s ‘Must-Have’ Target Omar Marmoush”

“Frankfurt Name Their Price for Liverpool’s ‘Top Target’ Omar Marmoush”
Liverpool have shown a “serious” interest in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, with the German club reportedly setting an asking price between €50m-€60m (£41.6m-£49.9m) for the 25-year-old.
Marmoush joined Frankfurt in 2023 on a free transfer after a lukewarm stint at Wolfsburg but has since flourished. He scored 17 goals across all competitions last season, and this year, he’s on track to surpass that tally with 10 goals in 11 games, including nine in seven Bundesliga matches.
These impressive stats have drawn attention from major clubs, with Liverpool particularly monitoring his performances. According to Sky’s Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool has already made contact with Marmoush’s camp, and the Egyptian forward is reportedly eager to make a move to Anfield.
Marmoush is under contract with Frankfurt until 2027, so the club is in no rush to sell at a lower price. Plettenberg suggests that Frankfurt’s asking price remains the same, whether Liverpool pursues him in January or waits until next summer.
Primarily a Bundesliga standout, Marmoush has also scored in European competitions and has six goals in 34 international caps. Some speculate that Marmoush could join Liverpool just as his Egyptian teammate Mohamed Salah might be on his way out, as the 32-year-old’s contract is up at the season’s end with no extension confirmed. With interest from Saudi Pro League clubs and Paris Saint-Germain, Salah’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot recently responded to questions about Salah and other key players, noting that constant interest is a sign of their success but providing no further update on contract renewals.
