Fulham standout Antonee Robinson reacts to Liverpool transfer rumors and shares a personal family insight.

Fulham defender Antonee Robinson has dismissed speculation linking him to a move to Liverpool but admitted that his family has strong ties to the city.

Born in Milton Keynes but raised on Merseyside, Robinson began his career with Everton, joining their academy at 11. However, he never made a senior appearance for the club. He later moved to Wigan Athletic in 2019, where he made a name for himself before Fulham secured his services for just £2 million in 2021.

Now 27, Robinson has developed into one of the Premier League’s top left-backs after an outstanding season under Marco Silva. With ten assists, he is joint-second in the league behind Mohamed Salah, level with Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Brentford’s Mikel Damsgaard.

His impressive performances have fueled speculation that Liverpool could target him, especially with Andy Robertson struggling for form. However, Robinson dismissed the rumors, telling ESPN that he has learned to ignore outside noise, having faced criticism earlier in his career.

Acknowledging the speculation, he revealed that his family and friends from Liverpool had been sending him links to transfer reports. However, he downplayed the rumors, saying: “It’s just a story in the paper. Anyone playing well will get linked to a team.”

Robinson has made 180 appearances for Fulham across five seasons, including 29 this campaign. He has helped the club climb to tenth in the Premier League, just five points behind fifth-placed Manchester City, keeping them in contention for European football.
