Kulusevski’s Transformation

Since arriving from Juventus nearly three years ago, Kulusevski made an immediate impact with five goals and eight assists in just 18 Premier League appearances. Hoddle also pointed out that Kulusevski’s recent performances, including his role in the 4-1 win over West Ham and his commanding display against Manchester City, have been some of the best of his Spurs career.
Thriving in a New Role
Kulusevski’s switch to midfield has unlocked his potential. His versatility allows him to excel centrally while still influencing games when drifting in from the right. Statistically, he has been more productive in midfield throughout his career, contributing 31 goals compared to 19 from the wing, with similar assist numbers across both roles.
Against Manchester City, even when starting on the wing, Kulusevski’s ability to drift inside was pivotal. Fresh off two goals and an assist on international duty, he played with confidence, delivering a crucial assist to kickstart Spurs’ dominant performance.
