Hugo Ekitike has sparked renewed talk of a possible move to Manchester United after expressing his boyhood support for the club.
In an interview with RTL in December 2024, the 22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt striker revealed, “Manchester United was my favourite club growing up. I’ve always looked up to them.”
Among the interested parties, Manchester United are currently in the strongest position, having already made direct contact with Frankfurt. In contrast, Liverpool and Chelsea have held serious talks with Ekitike’s representatives but haven’t yet approached the Bundesliga side.
Ekitike enjoyed a prolific 2024/25 season, registering 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 matches. Frankfurt value him at approximately €100 million and, while he’s under contract until 2029, his impressive performances and willingness to move to the Premier League — especially to United — are keeping transfer talks active ahead of the summer window.

Konaté: “Success Will Come” Despite the uncertainty, Konaté remains optimistic. Speaking in a recent interview, the French centre-back emphasized that this phase is part of a bigger journey. According to him, Liverpool are still adapting — especially with new players settling into the squad. He believes that with time, chemistry will improve and trophies will follow. 🏆 He also pointed to last season’s success as proof that the team has what it takes to bounce back stronger. 🤝 A Call for Unity More than anything, Konaté stressed the importance of togetherness between the team and its supporters. He praised the Anfield faithful and urged everyone to stay united, insisting that better days are ahead if patience is maintained. ❤️ Interestingly, his comments come at a time when his own future at the club remains uncertain, with his contract situation yet to be resolved heading into the summer. 🔍 What Happens Next? Liverpool’s season is now entering a defining period. Results must improve, injuries need to clear, and stability must return — both on and off the pitch. But if Konaté’s words are anything to go by, belief inside the squad is still very much alive. And sometimes… that’s all it takes before everything turns around. 👀🔥

Am sorry for the poor guy. I pray he doesn’t look like a foolish choice at the end of the day. I wish him good luck.
