“‘Is It Time for a Change?’ – Slot’s Witty Appeal to Liverpool Chiefs Amid Latest Setback”

“‘Maybe It’s Time…’ – Slot’s Bold Plea to Liverpool Chiefs After New Setback”
Arne Slot has playfully suggested to Liverpool’s management that they should consider recalling one of their loaned-out players. In the last hours of the summer transfer window, 18-year-old Ben Doak was loaned to Middlesbrough, joining a growing list of Liverpool players on loan this season.
While Doak’s temporary move allows him to gain valuable senior experience, injuries at Liverpool have recently limited attacking options, with Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa both sidelined.
During a press conference on Tuesday, ahead of the Carabao Cup game against Brighton, Slot addressed the attacking shortage, jokingly suggesting Liverpool should think about bringing Doak back. He remarked, “You see now, we’ve got six forwards, two of them are injured, so only four left. With the schedule we have, that’s sometimes a bit of a worry for me. Maybe we should bring Ben Doak back!”
Despite his light-hearted comment, Slot has several alternative attacking options. Although Mo Salah is the only natural right-sided attacker available, Harvey Elliott, Luis Diaz, or Cody Gakpo could adapt to that position if necessary.
In reality, Liverpool would likely recall Doak only in an emergency. His development at Middlesbrough, where he’s gaining crucial minutes, is essential, especially as he’s still finding his rhythm with one goal in 518 Championship minutes this season.
