Lewis Koumas has completed a move to Birmingham City on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old Liverpool forward successfully passed his medical before sealing the switch to the Championship side, as confirmed by both Fabrizio Romano and the club’s official website. Koumas, who made his senior debut for the Reds in a 3-0 FA Cup win over Southampton during the 2023/24 campaign, has also earned six caps with Wales.

Speaking to Birmingham’s media team, Koumas expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Blues: “Just how big of a club this is, how passionate the fans are, the project that I’ve heard about and after speaking to the gaffer, there was no other way about it – I was coming to Birmingham.”

Birmingham, who returned to the Championship this season after winning League One with a record 111 points, are aiming to push for promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2011. Paul Davies’ side currently sit sixth in the table after collecting four points from their opening two matches.
