Liverpool fans are in an uproar after seeing what the club’s YouTube channel shared after their victory against Newcastle.

Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media after the club’s YouTube channel shared a post following their victory over Newcastle United.
On Monday night, Arne Slot’s team faced Newcastle at St. James’ Park in a Premier League match that was heightened by the ongoing transfer saga involving star player Alexander Isak.
It has been widely reported that the Swedish international wants to leave Newcastle for Liverpool, but the Magpies are reluctant to sell despite his public statements.
On the field, Liverpool squandered a 2-0 lead, but 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha scored a last-minute winner, sealing a thrilling 3-2 victory.
After the match, Liverpool fans were shocked by a post on the club’s official YouTube channel. Typically, the club uploads footage of Slot’s post-match press conference, but this time, the thumbnail caught fans’ attention.
In the selected freeze frame, Slot’s pose resembled Isak’s signature celebration, where he runs off raising his thumb.
Fans reacted on social media, with one saying, “You can’t tell me this wasn’t intentional…” Another tweeted, “They could have chosen any frame.” A third added, “Slot hitting the Isak celebration.”
One fan expressed, “Why are they doing this to me? I’m getting drawn back in.” Another remarked, “They’re really taking the p***.” A fifth commented, “If they pull stunts like this and don’t sign him, my head will be in another dimension.”
When asked about the Isak situation after the match, Slot chose to focus on his current striker, Hugo Ekitike, who scored again. He said, “The story should be about Hugo Ekitike scoring another goal for us. He has been with us for three games now, scored three goals, and impacted the games he played. This isn’t the place to talk about anything else.”
Liverpool will be back in Premier League action this weekend when they host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
