Trent Alexander-Arnold made his debut as a starter for Real Madrid in their Club World Cup opener against Al Hilal after his high-profile transfer from Liverpool. Playing at right-back, he quickly drew the attention of Liverpool fans during his first match.

Al Hilal started strongly, launching successful attacks from Alexander-Arnold’s side. In the 19th minute, a mistake by him nearly led to a goal, but Renan Lodi’s effort was ruled out for offside. This prompted Liverpool fans to warn Real Madrid, suggesting it was just a sneak peek of what’s to come.
