Liverpool has made a bid for a promising young talent who netted over 50 goals last season, and he is eager to join the club at Anfield.

The Reds have a strong track record of acquiring top young talents in recent years, as demonstrated by their successful signings of players like Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, Trey Nyoni, and Rio Ngumoha. All four made first-team appearances at Anfield at just 16 years old, with Elliott now nearing 150 senior matches and playing a key role in England’s under-21s’ consecutive European victories.
Liverpool’s Bid for Will Wright
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool is eyeing another young prospect from an English club: Salford City striker Will Wright. Both Liverpool and Manchester City have made bids for the 17-year-old, who is reportedly eager to join Liverpool. However, the League Two club has yet to respond, and City is planning to submit an offer exceeding £100,000, plus potential add-ons.
Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, Wright has piqued the interest of several clubs, including Arsenal, Brentford, Leicester, and Burnley.
Wright made his senior debut for Salford as a late substitute against Manchester City in the FA Cup third round in January. Despite only four first-team appearances, he scored over 50 goals for the Ammies across all levels last season and is currently in his second year as a scholar, having played regionally for Euxton Villa and Fylde just two years ago.
While Salford co-owner Gary Neville may not be pleased about the possibility of Liverpool signing one of their players, a compelling offer from the Reds and Wright’s desire to move could make it hard for the club to refuse.
If Liverpool secures Wright’s signature, he would likely follow in the footsteps of Elliott and Doak by spending time on loan in the EFL to gain senior experience before returning to Anfield to make an impact.
