Posting on X, Romano stated: “Liverpool have offered a new 4-year deal to 19-year-old centre-back Wellity Lucky. His current contract ends this summer, and Liverpool are trying to keep him amid interest from clubs in Spain and Germany.”
Although Lucky has yet to make a senior appearance, the club’s offer reflects their belief in his potential. The Spain U17 international featured nine times in Premier League 2 for the U21s and played consistently throughout the UEFA Youth League campaign. A place on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Asia in July may offer him a chance to impress new head coach Arne Slot.
