Liverpool FC Announces Ticket Price Freeze for 2025/26 Season
Liverpool FC has made a major announcement regarding the 2025/26 season, confirming that general admission and season ticket prices will remain unchanged.
This decision follows ongoing protests by Spirit of Shankly (SOS) and other supporters’ groups against rising matchday costs in the UK. One such protest occurred before last month’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United, where fans criticized the significant ticket price hike by Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.
In contrast, Liverpool’s owners, FSG, opted to freeze prices after holding meaningful discussions with the official supporters’ board. This move aims to prevent loyal fans from being priced out of Anfield. Junior ticket prices will also remain at £9 for the 10th consecutive season, despite rising matchday and operational costs.
While FSG has faced criticism for some past decisions, this announcement has been widely welcomed. Liverpool has now frozen ticket prices in eight of the past ten years, a decision praised as a ‘victory for diplomacy and common sense.’
As matchday revenue continues to rise, now at £80m per year, Liverpool’s stance sets a positive example for other Premier League clubs to prioritize fans over further price increases.
