Liverpool Name Harvey Elliott Price Tag Following U21 Player of the Tournament Award
Liverpool have set a price tag for winger Harvey Elliott, who recently impressed as a key figure in England’s Under-21 European Championship victory. The 22-year-old netted five goals across six matches and was named Player of the Tournament for his standout displays.
UEFA’s Technical Observer Group praised Elliott as “undoubtedly England’s most effective player from start to finish,” highlighting his tactical intelligence, ability to create and score crucial goals, and leadership on the pitch. His performances were central to England’s 3-2 win over Germany in the final.
Despite his form, Liverpool appear willing to let Elliott go following their £116 million acquisition of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the club are asking for over £40 million plus a buy-back clause, although they may accept an offer exceeding £50 million without one.
Elliott, who arrived from Blackburn Rovers in 2019, has two years remaining on his current £40,000-a-week contract. Interest in the talented winger is already growing, with a summer transfer likely to come with a significant wage increase.
