Under the guidance of Arne Slot, the Reds have soared to the top of both the Premier League and Champions League standings. Slot’s leadership has revitalized the team, with many players delivering the best performances of their careers.

However, not everyone has thrived this season. Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa, in particular, have struggled to make an impact. Liverpool are reportedly exploring options to replace Nunez, while Chiesa could be on his way back to Italy this month.

According to TBR Football, Slot is open to allowing Chiesa to leave in January despite admiring the player. The Italian international has faced challenges adapting to life at Anfield, including fitness issues and limited game time.

Chiesa’s entourage has reportedly initiated discussions about a potential exit, with several Serie A clubs, including Napoli, Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Atalanta, and Fiorentina, expressing interest. However, any deal would depend on their ability to cover the majority of his wages.

A return to Serie A could provide Chiesa with much-needed playing time and a familiar environment to reignite his career. For Liverpool, parting ways might be the best solution for both parties.
