“Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold Nearing Surprise Deal with Major Club—And It’s Not Real Madrid!”

“Trent Alexander-Arnold in ‘Advanced Talks’ for Stunning Transfer to Unexpected Club—And It’s Not Real Madrid!”
Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly deep in negotiations with a major European club regarding a potential move next summer, once his contract with Liverpool expires—and it’s not Real Madrid.
Currently, the Liverpool star is in discussions with the club about a new contract ahead of his deal’s expiration next summer. However, as negotiations stall, rumors have begun circulating that the 26-year-old may be considering a switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid rather than extending his stay at Liverpool.
But according to a new report, the Englishman is now in advanced talks with a different top European side for a summer transfer. Spanish magazine SPORT reports that Alexander-Arnold has already declined multiple contract offers from Liverpool, signaling his intention to depart when his contract ends.
While Real Madrid is still seen as a likely destination, with the La Liga champions viewing Alexander-Arnold as an ideal replacement for 32-year-old Dani Carvajal, the report reveals that he is also in advanced talks with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG, despite having one of the world’s best right-backs in Achraf Hakimi, whose contract runs until 2026, are exploring additional options at the position.
Throughout all the speculation, Alexander-Arnold has remained silent on his plans, keeping details of his future and his ongoing talks with Liverpool, or any other club, under wraps.
In September, he told reporters, “I want to win trophies. Winning and striving to be elite are what drive me the most. I’ve always said I want to captain the club, but that’s out of my hands.”
Reflecting on his loyalty to Liverpool, he added, “I’ve been here for 20 years and signed multiple extensions, all without public fanfare. This one won’t be any different.”
