Madueke reveals what he thinks of Chelsea’s win against Luton: They did it to Manchester United and Arsenal

Noni Madueke is pleased that Chelsea won 3-2 away at Luton Town, despite the late scare they were given by the hosts.

Madueke (1) and Cole Palmer (2) gave Chelsea a 3-0 lead at Kenilworth on Saturday afternoon, and all seemed good for the Blues until the hosts threatened a late comeback with two late goals, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men managed to hang on for the win.

Madueke said: “It was still a good Chelsea performance. Credit needs to be given to Luton, they make it very difficult. We defended very well for 70 minutes and then came a bit unstuck.

“As the game wears on maybe a bit of fatigue kicks in. Credit to all the boys, three points going into the new year is what we set out to achieve.

“Whenever I shift to my right I just try and hit it as cleanly as possible. I feel like they were scared of me coming inside so I thought I would shift it and hit it clean.”

On Chelsea’s progress, the winger added: “Credit to Luton, they made it tough for Arsenal and Manchester City when they came here and for 70 minutes we dominated. It is a top way to go into the new year. It’s about becoming consistent. We are going in the right direction.”
