Mauricio Pochettino is increasingly worried about Chelsea’s midfield and want immediate solution

Chelsea are about to play their third pre-season match of the new campaign in the early hours of tomorrow morning, and Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to make it three wins in three matches since he arrived.

Chelsea have looked good so far, but there is no doubt that they are lacking presence in midfield after selling a host of players in the summer transfer window.

The club look no closer to bringing any reinforcements in that area after continued talks with Brighton to sign Moises Caicedo still look no closer to a conclusion.

This has reportedly given Pochettino increasing concerns about Chelsea’s makeweight midfield.

That is according to The Times, who say Pochettino is concerned with the lack of experience in the squad and the slow progress with signings.

You can’t blame him at all for being concerned and Chelsea really need to pull their fingers out now and bring some new signings in for the first team, for the here and now, with the Liverpool Premier League game now fast approaching.
