Pochettino, who led Spurs from 2014 to 2019 and guided them to a Champions League final, left North London before managing Paris Saint-Germain and later Chelsea for the 2023/24 season. After just a year at Stamford Bridge, he departed the Premier League again and is now head coach of the United States national team.

Despite leaving Tottenham over five years ago, Pochettino has shown he still feels connected to the club. When asked if he watches Premier League games since moving to the U.S., he said:

“I watch all the games that I can, and of course, one of the teams I always watch is Tottenham.”

Praising Postecoglou, he added: “He’s a great coach. Great club, great fans. It’s impossible to say anything but good things about everyone there.”

Addressing the challenges Postecoglou faces at Spurs, Pochettino expressed confidence in his fellow manager, despite Tottenham’s struggles in recent competitions and their current league position.

“That’s football, that’s life—there are always ups and downs,” he said. “As coaches, we have to stay focused on our work. Every manager has their own ideas and the ability to make changes.”
