“Ruben Amorim Fires Warning to Man Utd and Spurs with Bold Europa League Promise”

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both booked their places in the Europa League semi-finals.

Following Manchester United’s dramatic win, manager Ruben Amorim expressed his determination to chase Europa League success after his side joined Tottenham in the final four.

In a thrilling clash at Old Trafford, United edged past their opponents in a 7-6 aggregate victory. Early goals from Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot put the hosts in front, but strikes from Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagliafico pushed the tie into extra time. However, United showed resilience. Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty, Kobbie Mainoo equalized dramatically in the 120th minute, and Harry Maguire sealed the victory with a late header. They’ll now face Athletic Club in the semi-finals, while Tottenham go up against Bodo/Glimt after a 1-0 win over Frankfurt, courtesy of Dominic Solanke’s first-half penalty.

Amorim reflected on the emotional rollercoaster: “The sound of those final goals was unforgettable. But reaching the semi-final means nothing unless we win the competition. These moments are why we love football, even through a tough season. Still, we have to move on quickly and prepare for the next match.”

He also acknowledged the importance of such a win for team morale: “Games like this build connections between players and fans. It’s a boost in a difficult season, but now the focus has to shift back to player fitness and what lies ahead.”

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was equally pleased with his team’s performance: “I’m really proud of the boys. Winning away in a European quarter-final takes hard work and discipline. Every player gave it everything.”

Postecoglou praised his team’s unity through a turbulent season: “The squad has stuck together and kept believing in the process. That belief has been key. We’re in the semis now, and while it’ll be tough, the opportunity is there. This group hasn’t given up.”

Both teams now turn their attention to what could be a defining few weeks, with a Europa League final in sight.
