Liverpool Open to Diogo Jota Exit Amid €50-55m Valuation and Growing Interest

Liverpool are reportedly willing to consider offers for Diogo Jota this summer, provided their valuation is met. According to sources close to the situation, the Reds have set an asking price of €50-55 million for the Portuguese forward.

While Jota remains a valuable squad member at Anfield, his ongoing injury concerns have prompted the club to consider a potential sale—especially if it helps fund new signings. Interest in the 28-year-old is mounting, with former club Wolves, as well as Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Newcastle United, all monitoring his situation.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia have also entered the race, with Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Nassr expressing interest in securing the attacker.

Though no formal offers have been made yet, it remains uncertain whether any bids will match Liverpool’s expectations. The club are not actively pushing Jota out, but a substantial offer could tempt them, especially with plans to strengthen the squad during the transfer window.

Jota’s versatility—capable of playing across the frontline but increasingly used in a central role—means his departure would leave a notable gap. Head coach Arne Slot may look to bring in a new striker if Jota is sold, particularly with doubts surrounding Darwin Núñez after an underwhelming campaign. Offloading both could pave the way for a marquee centre-forward signing.

Still, not everyone agrees with the idea of selling Jota. Empire of the Kop writer Liam Togher warned: “Jota may have had a frustrating campaign, but he’s still proving to be capable of winning the Reds some priceless points. If we were in Richard Hughes’ shoes, we’d be very, very careful about parting with someone of the 28-year-old’s potency.”
