“Sky Journalist Addresses Rising European Interest in Key Liverpool Player”

“Sky Journalist Breaks Silence on European Clubs Eyeing Liverpool Star”
A trustworthy journalist has refuted recent rumors about the possible departure of a long-serving Liverpool player, calling them ‘wide of the mark.’
At the end of September, TEAMtalk suggested that Bayern Munich saw Alisson Becker as an ideal candidate to eventually replace Manuel Neuer at the Allianz Arena, citing his attributes as aligning with what Vincent Kompany is looking for in Neuer’s successor.
Alisson to Bayern Rumors Dismissed
However, Florian Plettenberg, a well-regarded expert on German football, has dismissed these rumors. Today, he made it clear that there is no truth to the speculation linking Alisson with Bayern Munich.
Plettenberg posted on X: “Rumours about FC Bayern and Alisson are wide of the mark! He’s a top, experienced player, but he’s not a target for Bayern. Instead, Bayern are currently considering extending Manuel Neuer’s contract until 2026, with Alexander Nübel set to be his successor by then.”
Alisson’s Injury May Help Liverpool’s Cause
Despite Alisson suffering another injury that will keep him sidelined until at least late November, Liverpool fans will be relieved to hear that Bayern Munich aren’t seriously pursuing their No.1.
Alisson’s consistent performances have meant that backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is eager to leave in search of regular first-team action, but it seems Bayern already have their future plans for Neuer, with Nübel on loan at Stuttgart until 2026.
In an ironic twist, Alisson’s injury history might work in Liverpool’s favor, as it could discourage other clubs from attempting to sign him. Additionally, Liverpool’s acquisition of Giorgi Mamardashvili next year provides a solid alternative should the Brazilian goalkeeper be sidelined again.
