A Turkish international’s agent has reportedly told his club that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to table an offer for his client soon.

Following Heung-min Son’s departure, Spurs are said to be eager to bolster their attacking options.

Last year, reports linked Tottenham with admiration for Baris Alper Yilmaz, one of the standout stars of the Turkish Super Lig in recent seasons. The 25-year-old Galatasaray forward, capable of playing across the front three, ended last season with 14 goals and six assists in all competitions. Now, it appears the Lilywhites are ready to turn that interest into a formal bid.

According to Takvim, Yilmaz’s agent recently met with Galatasaray officials and informed them that Tottenham intend to make an offer. While the exact figure remains unknown, the report suggests it would take at least €35m (£30.3m) to secure his signature.
