Tottenham is expected to receive an offer from a Champions League club for Richarlison.
Richarlison looks to be on the verge of leaving Tottenham Hotspur, with the club expected to receive a formal bid for the Brazilian forward in the coming days.
Earlier in the transfer window, reports indicated that Richarlison was keen to move on from Spurs in search of more consistent playing time this summer.
Thomas Frank’s arrival as manager has reportedly not altered the club’s stance, with the 28-year-old said to be outside the new boss’s plans for the upcoming season. This was recently reinforced by The Sun, which reported that Frank has approved Richarlison’s sale.
Galatasaray prepare to submit an offer
Galatasaray have been linked with Richarlison for several weeks, and journalist Jorge Nicola now claims via his YouTube channel that the Turkish champions are ready to make a formal bid for the Spurs striker.
Nicola adds that Tottenham have held talks with several clubs regarding the 27-year-old, with Saudi teams having maintained contact with his representatives for over a month. However, Galatasaray have now moved into pole position to land the former Everton star.
While no agreement has been reached yet, negotiations are ongoing, and a transfer to Istanbul’s Rams Park is now considered a genuine possibility.
Richarlison rules out return to Brazil
According to Nicola, despite interest from clubs in Brazil, Richarlison has ruled out a return to his homeland. He is said to favour staying in Europe or moving to the Middle East. With Tottenham needing to generate funds to pursue their own transfer targets, a deal could be completed soon.
It’s been reported that Spurs are willing to accept as little as £20 million for Richarlison this summer, a significant drop from the £60 million they paid Everton to sign him three years ago.
