Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore rediscovered his form with a sensational hat-trick in England Under-19s’ emphatic 4-1 victory over Belgium on Saturday. The 18-year-old netted his first treble at U19 level as Will Antwi’s side cruised to a convincing win in the first of two friendlies scheduled for the October international break.

Moore, who previously recorded a hat-trick for England’s U17s in November 2023, made a strong statement after enduring a challenging loan spell with Rangers. Starting alongside fellow Spurs talent Callum Olusesi, Moore grabbed his first goal just before half-time, doubling England’s lead following Shumaira Mheuka’s opener.

He went on to complete his hat-trick with strikes in the 58th and 65th minutes before both Tottenham players were substituted midway through the second half.

The winger, a Tottenham academy graduate who made his senior debut for the club in 2024, joined Rangers on a season-long loan in August. So far, he has featured in 10 matches across all competitions for the Scottish Premiership side, making five league appearances and providing one assist. Despite limited impact at club level, his recent display for England offered a timely boost in confidence.

Moore, who was one of the few bright sparks during Tottenham’s 2024–25 Europa League-winning campaign, had attracted interest from several clubs last summer, including Juventus. Spurs turned down all approaches before agreeing to his temporary move to Rangers. The young winger will now look to build on his international performance and carry that momentum back into club football after the international break.
