Trent Alexander-Arnold has been a crucial player for Liverpool for years, and his impact was on full display in the recent game against Arsenal.
Instrumental in setting up both of Liverpool’s goals, the Scouser not only recorded two pre-assists but also sent a message to the home crowd after each goal.
Following Virgil van Dijk’s goal, Trent joined a team celebration in the corner of the Emirates Stadium, where he appeared to shout “Believe that!” at the Arsenal fans, seemingly referencing Mikel Arteta’s pre-match comments.
Arteta, after Arsenal’s Champions League game, had promised, “Believe me on Sunday, we will be flying.” It appears the 26-year-old responded to those words directly to the fans around him after Liverpool’s first goal.
Later, following Mo Salah’s goal, Trent had another pointed message for the crowd, showing he was certainly playing with some added fire. If this edge helps him maintain his effectiveness on the pitch, Liverpool fans will welcome it.
