Vinicius Jr has openly shared his stance on a potential Premier League switch, amid new rumors linking him to Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Real Madrid star, widely recognized among football’s elite at 24, was tipped as a frontrunner for the 2024 Ballon d’Or. However, he and his teammates withdrew from the event after learning that Manchester City’s Rodri had secured the top honor. Following this, Vinicius took to X with a determined message, stating, “I will do 10x if necessary. They are not prepared.” Real Madrid voiced their support, with a club source expressing dissatisfaction with the award criteria, which they claimed disrespected both Vinicius and Real Madrid.

Despite the club’s backing, speculation about Vinicius’s future continues to grow. His contract with Madrid runs until 2027, but Spanish media outlet Relevo reported he recently declined an opportunity to discuss an extension. In addition, the Saudi Pro League is reportedly preparing another substantial offer after their previous €1bn (£837m) bid last summer was rejected. This new bid could come as early as 2025.

Beyond Saudi interest, Manchester United, Chelsea, and PSG are also monitoring his situation. In 2022, Vinicius commented on the possibility of a Premier League move, telling SPORTbible, “I am very happy at Real Madrid and plan to stay here for my career. Of course, experiencing another league, like the Premier League, would be exciting. But my dream has always been to play for Real Madrid.”

Relevo also noted Madrid’s eagerness to secure a new long-term deal for Vinicius, hoping to avoid the kind of drawn-out transfer saga they faced with Kylian Mbappe, who left PSG for Madrid under contentious circumstances regarding alleged unpaid bonuses.
